Art of Noize is a small group of people based in Sweden with a common love for music. More specifically music that makes people go bananas. We love the heavy, the hard-hitting, the trashy, the beautiful. We love discovering new music and we love sharing it with the world. Most of all we love letting music surprise us.
What else do we do?
We never started Art Of Noize with the intent of it just being another music blog. We want to go above and beyond what is expected. Therefore we've been very active in covering the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) scene in Sweden by going to gigs, filming live shows and talking to the best artists out there. Our YouTube channel is a testament to a lot of the work we've done so far, but our hope is to be able to add work we are proud of and love to this page as our journey continues.
What kind of Music will i find here?
The way we see it genres often do people disfavours. They tend to act like walls disconnecting people who love music. We love good music, that's it. That being said, with Art of Noize our goal is to share music that delivers the finest of what we call 'hard-hitting' party flavours. We like the stuff which makes you wanna headbang. Today this tends to include labels such as Dubstep, Electro of different varieties and Drum & Bass. We never feel the need to stick within the parameters of these labels. Good music is good music and that's what we want to share with you.
I sat down today and found so many good tracks that I just hade to compile them in a mixtape. Found that more fun then just uploading the tracks. So here are the mixtape + all the individual tracks.
Joel Zimmerman has been known to share some of his work trough his soundcloud account. I strongly recommend you to keep an eye on it. There is a lot of stuff on there with many different sounding tracks. For example, a while ago he posted a hiphop song which featured no other than legendary hiphop group Cypress Hill on the mic.
Anyways, some of the tracks has been really good if you ask me. We’ve heard some really nice experimental stuff and I really feel that Joel’s exceptional producing skills breaks through when he does tracks like that. About two weeks ago he posted another song called Closer Rev.2. Even though it’s not entirely fresh I just felt I had to share this one with you cause it’s such a great piece of music. I don’t think this is an official release yet and I don’t know if this is supposed to be labeled as a Deadmau5 track, but what the heck. Joel, you are a great great producer, keep doing what you’re doing.
It could be that my love for the original cloud my judgement when it comes to this track but I have repetently played this track for like 2 hours straight now! This track is summer and
it’s also now my contribution for track of the month! It’s only flaw is that it could have had more then one dubstep breakdown but it’s so minor that it doesnt even matter.

One of my favourite producer Uppermost has just released an awesome Justice mashup. Thank you for bringing back the old Justice sound, makes me nostalgic!

Tomba just released his new EP ‘Time to Slam’ on Beatport. I don’t think buygore could have gotten a better release then this one, if you judge the EP by the title track. If you are looking for some vibrations you should first download this track and then download the rest of the EP cause they are all Hard-as-fuck!
I’ve been bigging up Poisound since I first heard him early this year and wow was I impressed with his music. Not only does he create truly ‘original originals’ but he also does some amazing remixes of tracks I can only assume he does not have the original track stems to. An example of an original he’s done which truly impressed me was his track ‘Get Shock’. Listen to it yourself and discover a something you don’t hear every day.
He might be best known for his remix of the Knife Party track ‘Internet Friends’ which is more in line with this new remix of Skrillex and Damian Marleys collaboration called ‘Make It Bun Dem’. This is the perfect track to thrown into a set and take people by surprise when they expect the original. I don’t know how he does it but he has a magic ability to produce something which actually sounds amazing without having access to the original track stems. Hope you enjoy.

This might seem like an unlikely post, but after all it is also quite an unlikely remix. Meshuggah is the Swedish metal band famous for their own math metal sound and thereby influencing many modern metal bands. Engine-Earz is an experiment i first discovered from their BBC live dubstep gigs back in 2009 or so and Foreign Beggars has at this point become a name which anyone who’s into either Drum & Bass or Dubstep definitely knows due to their involvement with some of these genres biggest names.
Apparently Foreign Beggars are getting involved with the production side of things because I don’t hear any rhymes on this one. Considering the kind of talent they’ve been hanging out with over the last few years I wouldn’t be surprised if they picked up a thing or two. The result here is pretty interesting.

It’s late and I really dont have to time to post anything now but I just had to tell you about this EP. Mr. Oizo is back friends with yet another great EP called STADE 3. It’s a bit more modern with incresed intensness in his tracks but still has the feel of how electro sounded back in the 90′s. I’m gonna post my three favourite tracks from it here on the blog but i recommend you to head over to his website and download the rest of the it as well.
