As I mentioned in my recent Zeds Dead, Blaster remix post, we’ve got a F.O.O.L remix coming up, and it has now arrived for public ear smashing! This one’s a melodic smasher. Make sure you check it out on Beatport and spread the word since this is a competition. The winner will be releasing this tune on Ultra Records which is a pretty sick promotion, something would love to see happen for these guys!

Beatport is currently doing a remix competition on a track by Zeds Dead which was released on their latest EP ‘The Living Dead’. We posted about that when it was released and its a fantastic EP where Zeds Dead really show the world that they aren’t just the masters of remixes but original material as well.

So now we have some great remixes to look forward to. One of them is an upcoming remix by F.O.O.L which I have heard and it’s fantastic, I can’t wait to post that. But today I’m sharing with you French producer Blaster’s remix. It’s a trashy, crunchy and complextro’esque variant on the relatively mellow original and I love it. You could make entire tracks out of some of the sounds in this tune.

There is no other duo from Sweden that I have so much respect for than F.O.O.L. Besides being probably the friendliest people that I know, are constantly out around the world tearing clubs and festivals apart, they never seize to stop producing new original tracks and remixes that always sounds fresh. It’s also a really big plus that they release so many tracks for free download, something that we all appriciate a lot!

They are back now giving out a new original track they made together with Your Ol Lady to promote the Australian brand Deafkids Apparel. And as always with these guys, we’re in for a treat. So give it a spin and grab a free download from the embedded player if you fancy what you hear!

If you’ve seen us play live or if you’ve followed the blog for a while you’ll know we’re pretty obsessed with Trumpdisco at AON. Their sound design and song writing capabilities are out of this world in our minds. They truly have an original sound which nobody else has been able to copy, which is why we keep coming back to their releases. This new EP has some pretty large remixes, one of them being none other than HAEZER. Released TODAY on Birth Records (UK).

Update: Check out the new Music Video. Shoutout to a buddy of mine from Australia Alex Jones who was involved in the production of the video!

Finally the release of HAEZER’s new EP on Dim Mak has arrived. As you may know, we caught an interview (a whole 40 minute long one) with Sir HAEZER at the Emmaboda festival this year and in it we talk a little bit about this EP, so look out for the release of that soon.

From the preview it seems like we can expect the type of trippy and bass heavy trash music we’ve come to love from HAEZER, but this time around with a new twist. An easy way to describe it would be that it leans more towards the techno side of things in my opinion, but you’ll have to make your own mind up by giving it a listen.

We are currently working on fixing the mp3 hosting problem that we are having at the moment. While you wait you might wanna enjoy some good new electro from Atlantian Le Castle Vania. He is back we another great original, and of course it has that Le Castle Vania rawness that we all love.

Rarely do I find mashups that actually create something new. For me mashup artists more often detract from the tracks used rather than add something to them. Of course we have some obvious masters of the genre like Girl Talk who do not fall under that banner but nonetheless I find the genre scarce with interesting material.

This mashup was sent to me by the boys from Ravolution and I happened to love it. Both of the tracks used are killer and when mashed the result is still a total banger whilst retaining good production quality.

Due to some workstuff we haven’t been able to post lately but now we are back again. First track out is Dirtylouds epic remix of Porter Robinsons Vandalism. The guys from Dirtyloud has added some new layers to the otherwise already intense track, giving life to a track that was played quite frequently on my mp3 back in 2011.

Only has this track in .wav so the filesize is a tad bigger then usual.

If there’s someone who rarely disappoints its one of the kings of the trashiest trash electro: HAEZER. This new free release is no exception there and is in my opinion a perfect example of how to produce dirty, trashy, distorted electro music professionally. If you’re in Sweden during the summer you should definitely check out this South African when he comes to Emmaboda Festival in the end of July.

Controls is according to himself a human sent from the future (30XX) to save the human race from some kind of grave danger. I guess his weapons of choice is heavy beats and heavy drops! and beeing the kind futurian as he is, he will now give away his latest creation to us earthlings for free. Cheers!
