What makes a good EDM Music Video? It seems to me most videos being released in this genre of ours are either void of creativity or thematically disconnected from the music itself. The same can not be said for this new video directed by Mike Dahlquist. The visual elements combined with the mood of the video make for a great video, in fact one of the best I’ve seen in EDM for ages. Most of all it’s a FUN video and that’s exactly what this type of ‘banger’ music is supposed to be. Hope you dig it as much as I did!

Looks like Big Beat Records dropped the bomb that a new Skrillex EP is being dropped very soon! Having talked to Sonny this summer about his upcoming stuff I was expecting a new full length album, but it seems those plans will be pushed forward well into 2012. Either way a Skrillex EP is about as packed with treats as any EDM album you could hope for!

So obviously as soon as Big Beat dropped the news the rumours start flying around on which tracks are going to be included on the EP. With Skrillex’ current popularity it’s pretty insane how quickly his unreleased tracks travel on forums and YouTube. It’s safe to say that if he has played a track of his live, someone has uploaded it somewhere. So we’re going to upload the previously heard tracks we think will be featured on the EP. Some of these are tracks recorded from the mixer (so decent quality) others are recorded from phones at the gig, so I don’t recommend downloading most of them.

Since this is the title of the EP, this is one of the few tracks we can really say for sure is featured. Shouts to all my lost boys, we rowdy!

Skrillex - Bangarang

This is the track I’m looking forward to the most as far as release goes. Why? Because it has this epic, ancient Egyptian sounding middle section or bridge or whatever you would call it.

Skrillex - Kyoto (Ft. Sirah)

Damian Marley and Skrillex is a working combination. Even though its a party vibe tune, it has a bit of a laid back feel to it, which I dig.

Skrillex - Welcome to Jamrock (feat. Damian Marley)

Skrillex - True Gangsters

A lot of the classic Skrillex vocal manipulations in this one, which creates for a nice and melodic hook.

Skrillex - San Diego VIP

This collaboration with Wolfgang Gartner has actually been confirmed by Mr. Gartner himself on his facebook page, so we can look forward to it’s release on the EP soon.

Skrillex & Wolfgang Gartner - The Devil's Den

This is a tune Skrillex played at his gig in Stockholm. It is a collaboration with his new label mate Alvin Risk and it’s sounding large.

Update: Big Beat has now released the cover art. I haven’t really decided what I think about it yet. Half of me thinks its uninspired as hell. Half of me kind of digs the art style. What do you think?
