What makes a good EDM Music Video? It seems to me most videos being released in this genre of ours are either void of creativity or thematically disconnected from the music itself. The same can not be said for this new video directed by Mike Dahlquist. The visual elements combined with the mood of the video make for a great video, in fact one of the best I’ve seen in EDM for ages. Most of all it’s a FUN video and that’s exactly what this type of ‘banger’ music is supposed to be. Hope you dig it as much as I did!

We get sent a lot of tracks at Art of Noize. Either through Soundcloud, to our e-mail or through other channels. We try to go through absolutely everything we get and this time a song really got through to us from a Swedish producer who goes by the name Tobtok. This is his take on one of the best house tracks to be released last year in my opinion (Bingo Players “Cry (Just a little)”).

It’s an interesting take on an already catchy tune with pretty astounding production value for essentially being a bootleg and that this Uppsala based producer has only been releasing since about a year ago.

One of dubsteps all time best producers is releasing not just a track, but an entire EP completely free on Scion A/V. This seems to be becoming more and more common for producers with Flinch having released a free EP recently and Skream/Benga before him as well. This is a great trend in my opinion for very established artists and Trolley Snatcha is definitely up there.

There are some amazing collaborations on this EP with wunderkind Subscape and Foreign Beggars. As Trolley Snatcha told me in my interview with him last year, he prefers spending time on each of his tunes rather than releasing stuff he is unhappy with and you can really tell by the quality once he does release something. Make sure you check out the interview we did if you haven’t already and download these free tunes.

1. Trolley Snatcha - Disco Stick Rock & Roll

2. Trolley Snatcha - You 4 Ria Feat. Subscape

3. Trolley Snatcha - 44

4. Trolley Snatcha - Dry Crumpet

Finally the release of HAEZER’s new EP on Dim Mak has arrived. As you may know, we caught an interview (a whole 40 minute long one) with Sir HAEZER at the Emmaboda festival this year and in it we talk a little bit about this EP, so look out for the release of that soon.

From the preview it seems like we can expect the type of trippy and bass heavy trash music we’ve come to love from HAEZER, but this time around with a new twist. An easy way to describe it would be that it leans more towards the techno side of things in my opinion, but you’ll have to make your own mind up by giving it a listen.

A brand spanking remix coming from one of my favourite dubstep producers today, remixing one of my favourite bass music duos ever. Habstrakt’s career has just been shooting upwards the last year by linking with some very established labels. This particular remix of KOAN Sound’s “Akira” has been played on air before by Funtcase, but now Habstrakt is releasing it for free.

I have to thank Trashbags for posting this damn nice find cuz this track is not the type of thing I hear every day. It’s melodic, bassy yet pitchy and distorted and to sum it up I really dig it. It’s electro but it’s not the type of stuff you and your mom are trying to make. It was released on July 23rd but it still had to be posted. If you enjoy the original I recommend you check out the massive remixes by Bobble and Ricktronic as well. They’re both huge in their own distinct right.

We are currently working on fixing the mp3 hosting problem that we are having at the moment. While you wait you might wanna enjoy some good new electro from Atlantian Le Castle Vania. He is back we another great original, and of course it has that Le Castle Vania rawness that we all love.

It’s not every day that we post Drum & Bass, but today is one of those days. Why? Because Cubism has released a preview of an upcoming release. The amount of unique sound design spewing out of this mans magic production pot is pretty astounding, which is why I try to keep a firm eye on his updates. This already sounds good on Soundcloud so I can’t wait to have it in 320.

Rarely do I find mashups that actually create something new. For me mashup artists more often detract from the tracks used rather than add something to them. Of course we have some obvious masters of the genre like Girl Talk who do not fall under that banner but nonetheless I find the genre scarce with interesting material.

This mashup was sent to me by the boys from Ravolution and I happened to love it. Both of the tracks used are killer and when mashed the result is still a total banger whilst retaining good production quality.
