Beatport is currently doing a remix competition on a track by Zeds Dead which was released on their latest EP ‘The Living Dead’. We posted about that when it was released and its a fantastic EP where Zeds Dead really show the world that they aren’t just the masters of remixes but original material as well.

So now we have some great remixes to look forward to. One of them is an upcoming remix by F.O.O.L which I have heard and it’s fantastic, I can’t wait to post that. But today I’m sharing with you French producer Blaster’s remix. It’s a trashy, crunchy and complextro’esque variant on the relatively mellow original and I love it. You could make entire tracks out of some of the sounds in this tune.

Addergebroed has got to be one of my top 3 discoveries in artists in the last 2 years. He makes heavy yet melodic dubstep without making it sound cheesy and the production skills this guy has is out of this world. But enough of me praising this Dutch dude, there’s enough of that from me in past posts here on Art of Noize.

He has just posted this upcoming tune on his Soundcloud featuring an MC known as Maksim and as expected this tune is absolutely huge. This is fantastic dubstep which will stand the test of time the way I see it. I can’t imagine not listening to this in 5 years. I hope you like it as much as I do and I’ll definitely let you know when this gets released in full glorious 320.

Aeroplane are very well known for their shoegaze-disco and have over the years delivered so many good chill tracks to chill back to.

Anyway, out of bloody nowhere (don’t ask me how I stumbled upon this, I really don’t know myself), I find this amazing remix by MB of Aeroplane‘s track We Can’t Fly, where he took that relaxed sound and put the disco sound into a Carnival soundscape. And seriously, this remix is just bloody amazing!

Grab this one down, you just got to!

Time for some German double-trouble!

Saint Pauli‘s latest EP might have been officialy out since a little more than two weeks ago, so some might consider I’m being a little bit late. But you know, f**k it, that doesn’t matter.

Breakin EP, which was released by the Australian gang Tuff Em Up Records is a really solid one. It comes with a good original and five really good remixes by Haezer, Kolt 13, Sharam Jey, Beef Theatre and lastly from my good friend Justin Faust (who I consider have delivered the best one, but that’s just my opinion). The EP can be fully previewed and bought at Beatport, I’ll leave you guys with the full preview of Justin’s remix since it’s so good!

Make It Bun Dem has been a huge success commercially. I’m not the biggest fan of the song, even though I think the vocals are outstanding. But a few days ago the official remixes of the tracks was released, packaged as ‘Make It Bun Dem Afterhours EP’. This EP offers great improvement to the original song, offering some even heavier elements to it.

The Alvin Risk Remix is really outstanding so I recommend to check it out. Absolute banger!

Good morning people, I hope this week started out as smooth as possible for all of you since we all know how fun mondays can be, going back to the reality after the weekends adventures.

I’ll start of this morning with an amazing remix by UK dub mastermind, which is the chap Distance, who have remixed Submotion Orchestra‘s track Blind Spot. I’ve probably only myself repeated this fifty times on the featured soundcloud-player, since it’s just so bloody good. It treads so perfectly balanced between light and darkness, and seriously, that heartpounding bassline is just so good!

This remix will be out next week on September 3rd and can be pre-ordered now along with other remixes by Opal Block & Maribou State. Enjoy this bit!

The crazy banana eating Swedes Dada Life has finally released their much anticipated track “Feed The Dada”. I have been stoked since I saw the teaser video some weeks ago. And they do not disappoint me at all. Just as you would expect, “Feed The Dada” is a hard hitting electro house tune, with the “biggest drop ever” as they clearly state in the teaser video. Some might argue about that, but nonetheless it is a massive tune that I am sure you will hear for a long time to come.

Including in the release is two great remixes by Dyro and Dice Motion. Check out the streams below. And be also sure to have a look at the official video as well, it´s dadalicious!

Update:

Olle Corneer och Stefan Engblom (aka Dada Life) has confirmed that they will give out an album this fall, and it will be called “The Rules of Dada” and it´s to be released on October 17 in Sweden. Digitally on October 16 and physically on October 30 for The United States.

Well hello there!
My name is Eddie (aka E.T.T.H) and I have been running my own music blog for a while, but when I got the chance to write for AON I couldn’t turn it down. So here I am now, and hopefully you will find my future posts satisfying. You will also probably get to know me better throughout my posts. But for now let me introduce you to two talented producers from my hometown.

Vincent Lejtzen (aka Lejtzen) & Johannes Andersson (aka AND) are very new to the music scene, yet they have managed to create this electro-house gem. I asked Lejtzen about it. And all he said was that the two of them had nothing else to do for a week, so they sat down and started making something. The outcome became “Nippy”.

Lejtzen himself has some more songs he is currently working on. So you can be sure to hear more from him in the near future. But for now, enjoy this free song!

For about now two years, I’ve been the luckiest guy in the world due to me finding out about the Gothenburg based club Dubstep Bastards. I’ve discovered so many producers and meet so many friendly people there over the years, so I always had a good time there. And about exactly one year ago, I had the pleasure discovering and catching District live on the decks. It goes without saying that his set was immense, so it actually feels a little shameful I’ve never had the chance to do an article about him before. But now I have a better forum to write those dark dank vibes and he actually just released a fresh EP today, I won’t hold back anymore.

Out today via Chestplate is his EP Painting The Mind / Modulate, which contains those two tracks (plus a digital bonus track Backwards if you the whole release). It’s dark, it’s gritty and I just absolutely loving these tunes. Please do buy these tracks on beatport and play them loud on a good system and just feel how those low frequencies will make a number on your body!
